Dear Miss Susan McMartin*

I’m reflecting on Hank ’s opinion about blogs that you have written.
I have a blog (hello?) and I’m absolutely not a stupid person (you can read my post to convince –you- what a modesty...).
I understand Hank’s words indicate a convinced personality that the literature is not on web.
Maybethis can be true for now,but the web IS the future of the literature and the future of languages too.
Your -and consequently- his opinion about blogs and web is an old opinion...like who still thinks is better write with pen than with the computer.
C’mon!
I also understand the lines against bloggers and our language are just to represent his depreciaton about whoring himself out to Hollywood, but the same lines put in danger the
character’s sympathy, considered that Hank Moody/DD has a large fandom on web.
Hank Moody maybe would be an old style writer, who admires the real(orthodox) literature but -frankly- that is in contrast with his previous affirmation or his reputation like writer.
First of all:Hank is an Ulysses by James Joyce’s fan (Hank writes on his blog _3ep :"In the land of the lotus-eaters..." putting in parallel the dubliners and the habitants of L.A. ,what is the postmodern ‘land of lost memories’).
Second:the radio’s speaker defines him "a famous novel author underground"…
Well, an underground author is supposed against just the old literature...he would write with a new style,a style revolutionary and then he despites new web language?
Sorry but it is not credible.
(AND not to mention politic or social blogs -by istitution that help people-they are the true revolutionaries of this century)
My reaction is not like Meredith’s character on the same episode.I'm not touched from the lines in question,I’m just thinking about art...literature...and Hank Moody.
Keep in touch,dear…
LOL

*Californication “LOL’’ 5# ep’s author.
