But for Hank it's more than that...For him,it's also a way for umiliate himself and his actual life style.
He is remote and detached and uses sex to increase the disguste for his situation.

Hank doesn't love himself because he thinks he has destroyed his familiar union.
But is Hank a new Casanova?
Surely no way...Casanova falled in love for every woman he loved,Hank loves only Karen.
-By the way...She has betrayed him before, although she denies it.

Maybe not :Don Juan considered a woman like a number,another one on the list,a number to encrease the catalogue,without selective criterion.
Don Juan is a great lies teller,Hank is a great truth teller... his glance is cinical about L.A.,but never about its women.
Don Juan,until his end, is not cinical but proud with himself, instead Hank is disgusted with himself.
Anyway,Hank doesn’t fall in love with every women who meet, and at the same time he respects all of female people who fuck.

My opinion is:Hank loves Karen,but Karen cheated him.So he goes around to fuck anyone just to continue to suffer, until Karen will returns.
