The power of silence
At this point,every ddwatcher knows about David Duchovny's rehab. This news came like a lightning for a lot of people.
Or maybe not...
All that he said was: "I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction"... "I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."
First I thought that I've done well if I wouldn't wrote anything about this.
It's simply a matter of respect.
Then I read so many stupid comments and speculations about his situation.
It's enough.
Obviously,everybody can explain own point of view,but there is always a border.
So where does a legitimate curiosity end and unhealthy interest start?
I don't understand how a person can be so fake and say at the same time "I respect him.I will pray for him" and then keeping write about his rehab.
Respect and prayer imply the silence.
Do you know the meaning of this word?
This is why I will never say anything about DD rehab, because I respect him as a human being. And as DD fan I respect his request.
If he has a problem he will solve it. I'm sure of this.
And I'm sure too that if he would entered a facility for another addiction,like drug or alcohol,now there aren't so much people so scandalized.
It seems sex is a problem not only for Mr Duchovny.
As always, bigots talk too much of what they frightened of.
